Chelsea Verlage DMD has always been passionate about people, art, science, and preventative healthcare. Raised by a nurse and a hospital computer engineer, dentistry was a natural career choice as it provided her an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships while best utilizing her knack for highly detail-oriented and technical work as a means of serving the community. She finds joy and purpose in helping patients understand their oral conditions so that they can make an informed and shared-decision about what treatment options are right for them. Dr. Verlage understands that life circumstances and experiences impact oral health. Pain, poor esthetics, and lack of function can significantly diminish one’s self esteem and overall quality of life. She is dedicated to providing quality, reliable care in a comfortable setting so that patients can feel confident achieving and maintaining their oral health goals. Native to the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Verlage attended the University of Oregon where she graduated with an honors degree in Human Anatomy & Physiology. Receiving her Doctorate of Dental medicine from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Dr. Verlage then completed an AEGD residency at ISU where she received advanced training in dental implantology, oral and IV moderate sedation, wisdom teeth removal, care of patients with special needs, complex treatment planning and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Verlage is bilingual, speaking English and French.
When Dr. Verlage is not in clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband in the garden, on the river fly fishing, marvelizing her two cats: Hamilton and Hendrix, skiing, and traveling abroad / learning about other cultures (especially their cuisines!). Dr. Verlage is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Association, and the Southwest Idaho Dental Society. She recently joined the Boise Rotary Club and looks forward to becoming more involved in the community.
